College of St Benilde simply had no answer for Calvin Abueva’s 20-20 performance as they lose to San Sebastian College 80-76 yesterday. Abueva finished the game with 27 points and 20 rebounds for the Stags, still undefeated with a 13-0 slate. The Blazers played their first game without Mark Romero, their 4th leading scorer who recently migrated to the US.
Paolo Taha led Benilde with 16 points while Jonathan Gray and Carlo Lastimosa added 15 and 14 markers respectively. The Blazers fall to 5-8, tied for 5th with Lyceum and just a game behind Mapua.
In juniors basketball, La Salle Greenhills crushed San Sebastian 82-53 to remain tied with Letran for 2nd at 10-3.
