For the second straight year, De La Salle University will run away with the UAAP senior’s general championship trophy.
They once again bested perennial contender UST for the biggest team award given at season’s end.
La Salle finished Season 76 with 289 points, finishing first place in Men’s Basketball, Women’s Basketball, Men’s Taekwondo, Men’s Table Tennis, Women’s Judo and Women’s Chess. They also finished runner-up in Men’s Swimming, Women’s Tennis, Women’s Fencing, Men’s Baseball and just recently, Women’s Volleyball.
In addition, Jan Jodilyn Fronda of 4-peat champion DLSU women’s chess team was recognized as one of the Athletes of the Year this season. She shares the award with Camille Sambile of the women’s basketball team.
The closing ceremonies was held Wednesday at the Century Park Hotel Grand Ballroom in Manila
