The Green Archers look to go 2-0 as they face South Western University tomorrow in the Fil-Oil Flying V Preseason. Game time is at 2pm.
Behind rookie Jason Perkins’ double-double performance, La Salle escaped with a 73-67 come from behind win over UST last week. The team is favored to notch their second win against the Cebu-based Cobras, who have dropped their first two assignments.
SWU made noise in the PCCL late last year when they advanced in the Final 4. They were then anchored by Cameroonian Ben Mbala who ironically, will be transferring to La Salle this coming school year.
The Green Archers struggled against a depleted Tigers team and it was not only until the midway mark of the 4th period that they were able to seize the upperhand for good. It comes as no surprise that the team went 11 of 24 from the foul line.
We expect them to make the adjustments tomorrow and jump on the Cobras right from the get-go.
