Jerwin Gaco adds the PBA to his championship resume

Former De La Salle Green Archer Jerwin Gaco was a winner during his long career in the amateurs. Known for his intensity and hard-nosed defense, Gaco played two years for DLSU as a masteral student and was an integral part of those run ‘n gun 2003 and 2004 teams.

He went on to win several championships with Harbour Centre in the PBL and also with the Philippine Patriots in the ABL. His hardwork and perseverance paid off in 2010 as he finally made it to the pros after being undrafted several years back.

Last week, Gaco won his first PBA championship as a member of the B-Meg Llamados. Though he hardly played in the finals, just being part of a team that perhaps scored one of the most miraculous come-from-behind victories of all time is truly something special.

Congratulations to B-Meg especially to Jerwin, assistant coach Richard Del Rosario, assistant coach Mon Jose and head coach Tim Cone.
