The DLSZ women’s basketball team goes to 3-0 in the ongoing WNCAA tournament at the Rizal Technological University gym after beating San Beda Alabang 66-32.
In contrast to their two earlier wins, a 2-point victory over St. Jude and a come-from-behind victory over Chiang Kai Shek, the outcome of this game was never in doubt as the Junior Lady Archers quickly zoomed to a 10-0 lead and just overwhelmed their neighbors in Alabang.
If the team wins its next game (St Paul’s College of Pasig on September 17), this will give DLSZ a sweep of their group. The WNCAA Juniors tournament has a two-group format, with the top two teams from each group facing each other in a cross-over semifinal.
