The De La Salle Lady Booters drop a 1-0 decision to eventual champion UST in Game 2 of the UAAP Women’s Football Finals yesterday.
The lone goal came from national team mainstay Jowe-Ann Barruga at the 67th minute of the match. UST had the twice-to-beat advantage in the finals but were forced to a deciding game after DLSU won Game 1 last week in a penalty shoot-out 4-3.
For the individual honors, La Salle’s Hanna Ibarra and Marie Celine Ampil were named best goal keeper and best defender respectively.
This game was the last sporting event of Season 74. UST will clinch its 14th-straight general championship with 298 points. DLSU will finish a strong second with 278 points.
