The De La Salle Green Archers thrashed the South Western University Cobras 98-61 to grab the early lead in Group B at the FilOil Flying V Preseason today.
Almond Vosotros led all scorers with 17 points and at the same time was 3 of 4 from beyond the arc. Norbert Torres added 16 points and 5 rebounds while Jason Perkins and Gabby Reyes had 12 and 10 points, respectively. Monbert Arong was the lone Cobra to score in double digits with 13 points, while import Bernie Bregondo added 9.
SWU controlled the early start of the ballgame but the Archers went on an 8-0 run to seize the advantage and take an 18 point lead at the end of the first period.
The Green Archers never looked back as they maintained their pace, momentum, and composure throughout the match. By the end of the third quarter, the game seemed to be all over as La Salle erected a 29-point lead heading to the final quarter.
The team is now 2-0 and will be facing San Sebastian this coming Friday.
