During the Senate hearing yesterday, Senator Pia Cayetano questioned the two-year residency of the UAAP saying that it would waste the “prime time” of the student-athletes. She also added that this rule only favors the universities and not the students. The Senator is requesting that this rule be repealed by the UAAP board.

The UAAP board will meet on April 16 but made no promises that they will make ammendments to the rule.
