Thank You Arvie Bringas

As reported by Green Arrows of Archerpride.com, Arvie Bringas is no longer with DLSU due to academic deficiencies. As a mobile big man, Arvie was the one of the most interesting recruits of La Salle last year, as he was expected to help address the team’s need good frontliners. In his lone season playing for the Green Archers last year, Arvie averaged 4.9 points and 4.2 rebounds in 13 games. His most notable performance was in that double-overtime first round win against UST wherein he topscored with 21 points. His up-and-down performance was attributed to a groin injury he suffered in the pre-season, as well as his adjustment to the bigger and more physical competition. A versatile athlete, he also played for the Athletics team during the second semester events.

Wherever he may end up in the coming months, we wish Arvie well and we thank him for that one year he donned the green and white jersey.

The impending loss of Arvie may be considered as a blow to the team’s chances this season but at the end of the day, basketball is a still team game. The Green Archers is not dependent on any single person and it has always been this way ever since.

On another note, it is nice to know that L.A. Revilla and Jovet Mendoza have been cleared to play by their doctors. We hope they could be in tip-top shape in the coming months as the team badly needs their services.
