After sweeping the WNCAA and winning its first 3 games in the Women’s Basketball League (WBL) by enormous margins, De La Salle Zobel absorbed its first loss of the season at the hands of rugged Miriam College, 36-32. Struggling with its outside shooting all afternoon, the Junior Lady Archers came up with its lowest scoring output for the season. Miriam College now takes the lead in Group B with a 2-0 slate while DLSZ goes down 3-1. Nonetheless, barring any major blowout upsets of Miriam College by any of the bottom feeders, the Alabang girls are practically assured of a slot in the semifinals.
